Privacy and cookie policy

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, if we work together, to manage that relationship. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in replying to messages (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

The form is delivered to our inbox through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which processes the message on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We do not add you to any mailing list and do not send newsletters without your separate consent.

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to handle them and for up to three years afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law or a contract.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not fingerprint visitors, so we cannot identify you or follow you across sites. We only see aggregated figures. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website.

This website does not use tracking, advertising or social media cookies or pixels. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.

It sets one cookie, and only when you pick a language with the EN/LV switch at the top of the page: lang, which holds your choice (“en” or “lv”) and nothing else, so that the homepage opens in that language for the rest of your visit. It is deleted when you close the browser. Because it only does what you asked for, it needs no consent, which is why there is no cookie banner.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request in short-lived logs. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. When you open the homepage (digitalyse.eu/) and have not picked a language with the switch, Cloudflare looks up the country of your IP address: visitors in Latvia get the Latvian version, everyone else the English one. We do this in our legitimate interest in showing the site in your language (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); picking a language with the switch overrides it. The country is not saved in a cookie or a profile; like the rest of the request, it can appear in the short-lived logs described above.

You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to info@digitalyse.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv).

If the way we process data changes, we will update this page and the date above.
